Implementing Creativity into my Everyday Life

     Dr. Cuero describes how children in modern day society spend a majority of their lives interacting with man-made material such as computers, cell-phones, tablets, and television. The reason in which this affects their creative development is by hindering their ability to observe and interact with nature. I do find myself spending too much time indoors compared to when I was in elementary school and that disconnect with nature has led to a sort of disconnect with the world around me. I began to appreciate my hometown less and get into the same routine which did not help my creative abilities. The quote "Ideas emerge by interacting with other ideas (or individuals through conversing)," resonated with me because the gradual decrease in human interaction that I have noticed myself falling into has played a bigger role in limiting my creative abilities than I once thought.
