For the self portrait I decided to use my polaroid pictures to take close pictures of my face. At first, I wanted to take nine pictures of my face that came together to make a bigger picture, but they ended up not looking the way I intended. After realizing that I decided to make it more abstract and form pictures of my hand into a sun shape. For some reason, a majority of my art work tends to have some relation to the sun. I included the pictures of my face in the center of the sun to represent how I see myself. I have come a long way in the last few years in regards to my self esteem and happiness in general so I wanted to put myself in the center as if I'm the light of my own life. When I was in the line for Starbucks, I realized that I needed to add another aspect to the design and impulsively took 15+ sweet & low packets to add the effect of outer space and clusters of stars.
